The Hub @ Docklands, cnr Bourke St and Harbour Esplanade, Docklands
It's time again for the LUV Beginner's Workshop, and in addition to the usual workshop format, we will also have a talk — "Games on Linux" by Andrew Pam. So come along on March 20th for twice the goodness!
The talk will start one hour into the workshop, at 1pm.
In the usual workshop format, we intend to cover things like:
The Hub @ Docklands, 17 Waterview Walk, Docklands (near the corner of Bourke Street and Harbour Esplanade - look for the giant rabbit sculpture)
Melway reference: 2E H7
Parking can be found nearby. Coffee and breakfast are available just across the road. Wireless internet access is provided.
For those coming via Public Transport, the City Circle, number 48 (North Balwyn - Docklands) number 86 (Bundoora - Docklands) and number 70 (Wattle Park - Docklands) all stop on the corner of Bourke Street and Harbour Esplanade. Southern Cross Station is just across the overpass over Wurundjeri Road.
LUV would like to acknowledge Red Hat for their help in obtaining the Buzzard Lecture Theatre venue, BENK Open Systems for sponsoring the Beginner's Workshops and VPAC for hosting!

Free to attend
@rock, yes, the workshop is free to attend. Technically it's for LUV members, but membership is also free, so it doesn't really matter. Just turn up and join in the fun!
The software discussed really depends on everyone's interests - if you have a particular program you'd like help with, please bring it along (ideally already installed on your laptop) and we'll see what we can do!
Hi, there's no prices
Hi, there's no prices mentioned so is this free to attend?
What Linux software will you be using as reference?
Thanks.
